PETER PUCK SKATING & HOCKEY SKILLS PROGRAM POLICY

ON REGISTRATION DAY IT IS A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED NUMBER SYSTEM.

PLEASE NOTE: NUMBERS ARE HANDED OUT UP TO 2 HOURS BEFORE THE ACTUAL REGISTRATION TIME NOTED.

Due to the significant increase in the size of popularity of the Peter Puck Skating and Hockey Skills Program over the past years, I felt it necessary to develop a structure to which the "registration" process is conducted fairly, yet respectful of the skaters and parents that have contributed to our success.

Registration will still be three times during the six-month season. Parents can register for one eight week session or for their convenience they now can register for Sessions one, Session 2 and Session 3 on the first date of registration. If a parent decides to register for two eight-week sessions this will avoid having to attend the next registration. A parent registering two children from the same family will be handed two numbers not one. Skaters that are already attending classes get priority to register before the registration date.

The policy for registering for two sessions at registration is that there will be no refund for any cancellations received after the registration date. Refunds will only be given if followed by a medical note.

When the second registration is held, parents can also register for the third eight-week session which again avoids attending the next registration.

IF A PARENT IS REGISTERING FOR MORE THAN 1 SESSION, A POST-DATED CHEQUE IS ACCEPTABLE DATED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE NEXT SESSION START DATE.

When parents arrive at the Ice Box Arena for registration they will be handed a card with a number on it. Numbers will be from number one to number twenty-three for each class. Once #23 is handed out the class is full and parents will be informed. There are 23 skaters to a class. The Peter Puck Program groups are split up into two groups, their is not 23 skaters a A Group.

In the past parents have waited up to one hour to find out the class is full so the card system will eliminate the long waits. The parents then have the option to put their child's name down on a wait list if their child did not get in the program.

All participants must meet the mandatory skill requirement of skating unassisted one width across the ice surface. As a result, openings may come available for those on the wait list. First come first served. (Peter Puck Classes only for the mandatory skill)

Parents/Legal Guardians/Relatives, Friends and Grandparents will be able to register their children/grandchildren/friend for the sessions.
